After a successful year with YOD, Luke Thompson gained a coveted place for actor training at RADA. He was soon making his mark with well received performances in theatre and television. He appeared at the Globe, notably in Julius Caesar; “The strongest performance comes from Luke Thompson, fervently intense yet self-aware as Mark Antony.” (Henry Hitchings The Evening Standard on Julius Caesar at the Globe.)
Luke played Orestes in Oresteia at the Almeida Theatre, which transferred to the West End and then was cast as Laertes in their production of Hamlet, which has recently transferred to the Harold Pinter Theatre, also in the West End. He was cast in the hit film of 2017, Dunkirk, directed by Christopher Nolan, playing Warrant Officer.
